Tiddlywinks Benefits:
- Stimulate reminiscence

- Stimulate beneficial brain activity
- Helps maintain efficiency and capacity
- Encourage interaction

Get the most from your activities and have a varied activities program. Include physical, mental, social, creative, and sensory activities in addition to reminiscence to cater to all residents. Above all, encourage involvement.
By and large, keeping a person with dementia active and involved in life can greatly improve their quality of life, reduce agitation and improve sleep and nutrition.
Equally important, Tiddlywinks can also be a route to reminiscing about a time when it would be played with younger members of their family. Triggering positive feelings, and in turn reducing stress and agitation.
- Box measures approx: 24 x 6 x 5 cms
- Approved by the English Tiddlywink Association.
Recommendations given in the 2011 World Alzheimer’s Report suggest that routinely providing individualized cognitive stimulation to those with mild to moderate stages of dementia can produce short-term improvements and/or reduce the decline in cognitive function.
Delivery
Smaller Items
Smaller products are usually delivered within 5 working days, Monday to Saturday, 7.30am – 6.30pm. We use our own nationwide fleet coupled with trusted couriers to fulfil deliveries across mainland UK. Some couriers may deliver slightly earlier or later.
Larger Items
Larger items, including furniture and commercial products, will be delivered by a Beaucare Medical van or one of our trusted suppliers. Our customer service teams will contact you after the sale of higher value items to discuss the logistics of your item.
We cover the majority of mainland UK through supplier and internal distribution; therefore, please make us aware of any special requirements before or straight after placing an order.
On specified items, we offer an installation charge payable at the time of your order. With this service, a Beaucare trained expert delivers and installs the product whilst demonstrating key features and how to maintain your new purchase.
Standard delivery takes from 3 working days; the exact lead time we offer after your purchase is subject to your postcode and our logistical coverage. Our customer service team are on hand to help with any queries you may have before and after your purchase.
If you live in a highland, island or rural postcode, delivery may take longer than 7 working days. We won’t be able to finalise your order during online checkout; however, we invite you to contact us to explore how to get our products to you through an external courier network. Once approved, we will place your order to arrange delivery. We always aim to deliver your order within 7 working days, but it’s subject to product, postcode and carrier availability.
Extended Lead Times
Most of our furniture is made to order, therefore it may take time to be sent out to you. Our trusted suppliers work hard to ensure the products they manufacture are of the highest quality and fit for the use in which you require them. Our customer service teams will be in contact after the sale to make you aware of any specialist product or delivery information. We work with various manufacturers, who help us offer you a broader range of products. These suppliers may offer different delivery times and options. Please wait until the regular delivery due date has passed before contacting us.
Out of Stock
If your item is out of stock, we’ll contact you to let you know. If you’re happy to wait and the item comes back in stock within 28 days, you’ll be charged and the item will be delivered to you. If it’s still not available within 28 days, we’ll cancel your order and refund you.
If you’re not happy to wait, please contact us to cancel your order.
Delivery Access
If you’re worried items may not be easily deliverable due to access restrictions, please contact us after you place your order. Normally, this isn’t an issue but if you suspect our delivery team will struggle, we can inform them ahead of time to ensure they are prepared when they come to your location.
Delivery Restrictions
We reserve the right not to deliver an order if we believe the address isn’t secure or we cannot offer our usual delivery service effectively. If this affects an order you place, we’ll contact you as soon as possible.
With our regular distribution network, we can only guarantee mainland UK deliveries. If you live or require delivery outside of these parameters, geographical location and courier availability can restrict our service, therefore we invite you to contact us to ascertain which options we can offer to you.
